Want to unlock the bootloader on your Realme phone? The Deep Testing APK (also called the In-Depth Test app) is the official way to apply for permission, so you can flash a custom ROM, root the phone or install TWRP. This guide covers the download, the full process and the common errors for Android 10 to 14.

What Is Deep Testing APK?
Deep Testing is an app from Realme that lets you request a bootloader unlock. You install it on the phone, log in and submit an application. After approval, the phone restarts into fastboot and you unlock it from a PC. It is not a PC program, so there is no EXE to install on Windows.
Realme calls it “In-Depth Test”, which is why many users search for in-depth test APK as well. It is the same process.
Deep Testing APK: Quick Facts
- App name: Deep Testing / In-Depth Test
- Works on: Realme phones (C, Narzo, number series) running Realme UI
- Android versions: 10, 11, 12, 13 and newer, depending on the model
- Needs: Realme account, internet, PC with ADB and fastboot drivers
- Result: Unlocked bootloader (data is erased)
Before You Start
- Back up everything. Unlocking wipes all data.
- Charge the phone to at least 60 percent.
- Update the phone to the latest Realme UI version if the app asks for it.
- Log in with your Realme account and keep the SIM and internet active.
- Install the Minimal ADB and Fastboot drivers on your PC.
- Enable USB debugging and OEM unlock in Developer options.
Unlocking can void your warranty and may affect banking apps and Widevine L1. Do it only if you accept the risk.

Common Problems and Fixes
- “Your device is not supported”: Realme has not opened the test for your model. Check later or use another method.
- Application stuck on pending: wait a few days and make sure the account and phone details are correct.
- Fastboot does not detect the phone: reinstall the drivers, change the USB port or cable and try again.
- Unlock option missing in fastboot: the approval is not active yet. Restart the phone and try the in-depth test again.
- Phone in bootloop after unlock: flash the stock firmware. See the Oppo, Realme and OnePlus auth token tool for service-level help.
- Fastboot command fails: read our fastboot OEM unlock guide for the right commands.
